But before we get there (heheh), please let me share the backstory with you. (You'll understand why I have to do this in a minute.)
As I was surfing through SavingAdvice one night while trying to figure out how to get through this holiday season, one of my favorite singers, Megan Fanning, started playing in the background.
The song in question was her holiday rendition of "Baby, It's Cold Outside". It was then that I noticed something very peculiar about her version. It was a duet and she's only singing the female vocal lead!
I thought to myself, "Wow! Perfect karaoke material!" Ah, but sadness struck again, for it was something I used to do with my ex and her friends. Now... I basically have no one to share it with, and what good is any perfectly badly sung holiday karaoke music without people to strike fear *cough* er share it with?
Thinking this, and staring at SavingAdvice, it was then that my brilliant Cro-magnon cranial made the amazing connection (to the theme song of 2001: A Space Odyssey). "Why, I can share it with the SavingAdvice crowd!" A fresh new batch of virgin ears to unleash my own brand of terror through the path set forth by the great Asian singer, William Hung? Purrfect!

Oh, but I would need to buy some time. Well... a... contest then! Oooh, how neatly the pieces fell in its place.
But I'm getting away from the real point. The real point to all this backstory is the need for some legalese. Ah, yes everybody loves them legalese eh? Yeah, I don't either, but it's necessary to somewhat cover my butt on this one.
You see, I tried to contact Megan Fanning, but my emails were all kicked to the curb like an ex-boyfriend caught cheating while he thought you were gone-like.
Unable to reach her, I then double checked eMusic.com's legalese, where I bought Megan Fanning's music. And of course, they would say that, "Uh, no, we don't want you to screw around with our music and stuff." However, eMusic.com's entire business is based on the idea that they would sell non-protected music, and instead of seeing potential copies out there as illegal pirating, they would consider that as viral marketing instead.
Hey, it works for me! After all, I wouldn't kick eMusic out of the bed for dropping cookie crumbs or anything. Seriously, they are fantastic, and it's the only place I will buy my music from.
So, considering that I don't have official blessing per se, I need to ask all of you the following:
1. Please don't distribute this. This is for your personal use only.
2. Please don't make more than one copy. I recommend that you download only one copy for yourself, to hear it from your computer's hard drive.
3. Please don't use it for monetary gains. In that same vein, I'd also appreciate it if you don't use it as blackmail material later!

If you agree with those rules, then please right-click the link below and save a copy of the music to your hard drive before you play. Thank you!
Yes, I agree with the silly legalese conditions above.

Thanks to Grutina's list, I also realized that she and some others may not be able to hear this. If you're in that category, or if you wish to see the lyrics that I used to superimpose myself (poorly) to her music, then here is where you'll find it.
1. Highlight and copy this number: 174046637181
2. Go to this link, click on "enter flower number", then paste the number in the text box.
The MP3 should be able to play for most everyone, but if you're still having trouble getting it to play, please let me know and I'll try to help you get it to work.
Haha. I hope it didn't make you guys gag too much, but it sure was fun working on it and sharing it with you all. Happy holidays!

That comes later, where you can join my music fan club and get new selections such as "Ain't no mounting high enough" and "Feelings".
For laughs we should think about rewriting this song - along the lines of: Baby Its Cheap Outside...heh heh.
OMG that is an awesome idea! Hahah, that would be hilarious. Oooh, now you've got me thinking.
Much better than an ashtray...
I'm glad you liked it... because if this didn't fly, I'd hate to have to spend money on all the play-doh just to make it up to you guys.
Thanks everyone. I actually wasn't even sure if you guys would like it. I basically threw all my old crap microphones, cables and recording devices into my closet, and tried out every combination I can think of. The one I settled had the best recording quality (without all the static and hisses) but I was unable to manipulate and blend the sound.
The result is disappointing to me, because the two tracks doesn't sound like they fit. Then again, considering that I didn't want to spend a penny on additional hardware or software, it just had to be good enough.

Oops! Your right. My inner geek slipped me up.
rduell:
My co-workers are always egging me on to sing William Hung's version of "She Bangs". In fact, we actually did that once for karaoke! And yes, I sang just as horribly, because I didn't even know how the song went, much less the lyrics!
PrincessPerky:
Thank you for the compliment! Of course, my voice is nothing like that when I'm yelling at the kids not to do something they shouldn't be doing in the first place.
Ima:
Did you get it to work?

And it was worth it. Wow - the time it must have taken you to put this together - and for us! How special. I plan to listen again when there is a little less distraction around here! Thank you. I really enjoy getting personal glimpses (or rather, sound bites!) of the people I have met here. I hope your holidays are truely happy.

WOW! That is really insane!
Diolla:
Well, I've only karaoked twice publically... in a bar. Let's see... what did I do? Oh yeah, Elvis' "Can't Help Falling in Love with You" and "Lady in Red". Oh and "She bang"!
Jodi:
I think that is one of the funniest and sweetest compliments I've ever seen. Hehehe. Thank you. Thank you everyone.

I've only sung karaoke once....a duet with ex hubby...HE picked the song and I said: are you sure? (Muriendo Lento, by Timbiriche)...you should have seen the look on his face when I sang: You're nothing like the one I loved, and I'm slowly losing faith... LOL! ;P

Haha, I don't know what to say about that one, so I'm going to keep my mouth shut for once. Heh.
fairy74:
Oooh noooo! American Idol is most definitely NOT in my future thanks!
But then, William Hung did make it big....
Also, I just heard a soundbite of Michael Buble on his website. Wow, can that boy sing. To even be mistakened for him in passing is a tremendous compliment. I'd give your DH a hug but *cough* we men don't work that way.
