Holiday freebie

So my employer decided to give us all a $25 gift card to Wal-mart, as he puts it, to help take the sting out of the holiday season.

It's a bit unexpected, but I am very grateful for it.

Now, I have to figure out what it is that I should use it on that would give the most bang for the buck? The first thought was the dishware set, but I am not sure if there isn't something better out there? Perhaps something related to job hunting or at least more TP?

I don't know. Can you guys think of anything?

    I think you should get the dishes you were interested in. Basically, a gift from your employer. If he handed you dishes you'd take them and use them, right? And the dishes will last much longer than the TP!

    Hehe, that's true. I'm sure those dishes would prove to be a wonderful investment in the long term. If there are no other suggestions, I'll go ahead and do that. And get more TP. Big Grin

    That sounds good. If you have no pantry, this would be a good time to stock up, just as with TP.

    Walmart has Corelle sets on sale this week for $18 - the place settings for 4 (12 pieces). That sale price is enough for me to make my purchase tomorrow (hopefully) I'll be getting three sets (household of seven).

    A very nice surprise though! Kind of your employer.

    I think I'd go with the dish set too. Especially since they're on sale right now. You could maybe use the balance to buy a few grocery items.

    The dishes are on sale on top of that? And I would still have enough to pay for taxes AND buy an extra pack of Shamwow. Oooh, sold!

    I was going to vote dishes and I see that's what everyone else says too! Yup, dishes!
