You guys know by now that I sort of have a thing for small homes. Well, not so much the small space per se, but mostly, the creativity and inventiveness that goes into it, because the space is indeed so limited.

And although this isn't my personal preference, I found a cottage renovation that is nevertheless enchanting. It went from

Here's the entire slideshow to see pictures of the interior. It truly is beautiful.

Best of all, I don't think she spent a lot of money to do the renovation, stating that most were found in flea markets and yard sales.

The little Victorian cottage? That was cute. What was especially interesting was the 70s trailer where the couple actually lives in. (additional pics in the paper) Two very disparate (sic) spaces. My eyes would get whiplash. Big Grin

Cool! I'm always impressed with these types of spaces. If I were single or at least without kids, it would be very tempting to escape to the woods in a cottage like that.

My daughter sent me those pics, because she knows that I love cottages. As a matter of fact, we live in a 1930's cottage that I renovated, but I also added a couple small additions - a master bedroom and bath and a foyer to make it less cramped. Of course, living a simple life and not being a collector keeps it roomy.

The article I read said she spent $3000 to renovate the place. Not bad!
