Free land

December 2nd, 2010 at 03:42 pm

Not the usual, everyday freebies you hear, but evidently,

Text is there's free land out there and Link is http://realestate.yahoo.com/promo/7-towns-where-land-is-free.html
there's free land out there!

The down side? Most are open land with little or no municipal services, and all of them are areas in need of "revitalization".

Still though, it's interesting to read about at the very least.

I was shocked to see Camden, Maine, on that list! It's one of the most beautiful little coastal towns in Maine, and a far cry from rural Nebraska and Kansas. If I was looking for someplace to lead a new company, that would make for a pretty attractive option. Especially with the insurance of free land? Not too shabby. Interesting link!

Thanks for the interesting link. It's not surprising that California is ridden with foreclosures - I just don't see how people with normal jobs and income can live anywhere in that expensive state!

And Jerry, Camden, ME had sort of a brownfields site for a business - they are pretty common I would think!

As several of those sites are in northern, snowy areas and would need houses built, may I suggest this if you are ready to move today?
